As she stood in the doorway
Of a windowless room
With walls painted crimson red
And a ceiling pitch black
She turns towards the vanity
Where she has spent her days
Crying tears of blood
That have stained her pale face
Making her complexion smooth
As she looks at her corpse like reflection
She sees a figure drawing nearer
And as the figure gets closer, a smile comes to her face
She turns toward the stranger
Looks towards their dark eyes and says
"Sir I flirt with death each dark day
As I sit here locked away
And I'm not afraid
For I know my grave is near"
Again she turns toward the vanity
And picks up the steel knife
And looking back at the stranger
While the smile seems to fade she says
"Sir I have been ready
For the longest of times
And I will do it myself
For you see
I flirt with danger, and am not afraid"
She stabs herself slowly
As one last red tear falls
Inside a room crimson red
Where she had locked herself away
For she knew of the end
But she had a plan
Of a windowless room
With walls painted crimson red
And a ceiling pitch black
She turns towards the vanity
Where she has spent her days
Crying tears of blood
That have stained her pale face
Making her complexion smooth
As she looks at her corpse like reflection
She sees a figure drawing nearer
And as the figure gets closer, a smile comes to her face
She turns toward the stranger
Looks towards their dark eyes and says
"Sir I flirt with death each dark day
As I sit here locked away
And I'm not afraid
For I know my grave is near"
Again she turns toward the vanity
And picks up the steel knife
And looking back at the stranger
While the smile seems to fade she says
"Sir I have been ready
For the longest of times
And I will do it myself
For you see
I flirt with danger, and am not afraid"
She stabs herself slowly
As one last red tear falls
Inside a room crimson red
Where she had locked herself away
For she knew of the end
But she had a plan
Author notes
If you really think about it this poem, story, or whatever you think it is symbolizes the person you lock inside of yourself... it symbolizes the person you dont want anyone to know the one you want to hide away becuase you know society will ridicule them... this is a symbolistic poem for all of you to enjoy
