The Seed

There is this seed of hate
Coursing through my veins
Sparked by all the constant
Never-ending pains

This seed, it runs deep
Deep into my core
Promises to be eternal
To hate forevermore

It trickles slowly down
Through my heart, to my soul
Fought it time and time again
But the seed retains control

Through the body to the mind
It crawls across my skin
This evil seed of hate
Is bound to always win

Throw in the towel, raise the flag
Relinquish all my needs
And find there is no hope
To conquer this evil seed

It's who I was, it's who I am
And who I'll always be
For soon the hated seed
Will consume the air I breathe

All across time and space
I pray each and every day
Wishing one last final wish
That damned seed to take me away

Yet punished by my thoughts
Now I come to find
I must bare the burdens of my heart
And the prison of my mind

I've seen the light that forms
Unreachable it seems
For that seed of evil hate
Even haunts me in my dreams
