before I find excuse to break away.
Laugh and talk and joke before I bolt.
Hold my hands in public places.
Let them know first discovery and caress.
Capture them with gentleness and strength.
Find me incredible, amazing, enchantress
in hunter green velvet, odd baubles, and smiles.
Spoon feed me caramel, chocolate, and delight.
Kiss me in the parking lot until the outside bustle fades.
Kiss me giddy in the crystal moonlight.
Kiss me weak kneed and afraid to dare to hope there’s more.
Keep me trembling at your touch,
each held breath a journey off to somewhere far away.
Teach me passion in the evening dappled kitchen.
Imagine me replete in sweet dreamed slumber,
arm covering my eyes, perspiration fading,
restless tides at last held quiet for a perfect moment.
Share with me a face that aches from smiling
a stomach full of butterflies and bumblebees,
and a heart that cares to once again believe.

it is a truly beautiful poem. You have a way of being able to really pull your reader deep into your thoughts and emotions... there is nothing that cannot be seen, felt and experienced as your reader finds carefully treads the path you have laid for them to follow with your chosen words.
