this is very cool! I am doing a column featuring a number of things around the site including backgrounds, and I'd like to include a few of yours which I will of course credit to you, if you have no objections? also, could you give me detailed (step by step) instructions on creating a rollover picture link to an audio file and posting it here? I have photoshop, which I know can do that, but I don't know how to do it, I want to use it to feature some audio poetry on my column. Thanks!

Thank you, DK! That would be lovely, be my guest

As a Gold member it is very easy using the Rich text editor to add links to music files etc.

To add a link to an audio file, it first needs to be hosted on a webpage somewhere. I have most of mine on my free putfile.com account.

To make an image or text a clickable link, simply highlight the image or text in edit then click on the link icon (the little chainlink to the left of the editor icons) which opens a pop-up.

In the pop up box you simply add the URL of the link ->
The 'target': to 'open in new window' ->
Then, if you want a description tag on hover, add a Title then 'update'.

Yep, will do Cool, huh - I even learned some basic html (online tutorials) for posting on forums that don't have all the automatic Rich mode stuff we get on AP.

strange how I came to ask a background from you just the other day, Maat and now this Border Contest comes up! Knowing my obsession, this is like border paradise to me, but I'd never grab-up without asking first, so would you mind? I'll give you complete credit should I use it for a poem...

I even love the shadowed background you used with this border--Very creative!

Hehehe! You amaze me how you always find something interesting to say, even on a background! You know, I don't think I know Juice Newton, but I do know that song & like it - I can hear it in my head now

I'm hearing Juice Newton in my noggin. "Playing with the Queen of Hearts, knowing that it really smarts, cause the joker is the only fool, who'll do anything for you." Did I just break an AP law by quoting too much? I don't think Juice Newton would mind, I bet I'm the only person who thought about her today...and that includes her own mother!

    Sorry.

Would be a good background for either a romance, or one of my horribly written ironic fictions. I mean, who couldn't run with a story about a woman knicknamed, "The Queen of Hearts."

For an encore I will now recite another of Juice Newton's biggest hits...oh wait...there weren't any more (as I'm sure her mother reminds her on the days she remembers Juice exists.)

I know, "Get out of here Yem!"

This probably would come in handy for some obscure theme sometime and then I will be kicking myself for not having saved it. LOL.

Oh, this would be perfect for some of those metaphoric poems, or for poems about gambling
