Rain is slowly tapping the window,
As the wind rushes through a willow.
The waves crash into the rocks below,
As your self esteem reaches an all time low.
Rain drops are the thoughts in your mind,
Much like the feelings of hurt that bind
The air is laced with the smell of salt;
You had tired to tell them it wasn't your fault.
Clouds pass over the walls you have built,
Reflecting in the puddles of guilt.
The angry ocean screams what you can not,
Your conscious tells you they wish you to rot.
A thunderous silence streaks through the night,
A tree hanging over the cliff, it's roots holding tight.
You didn't think what you did could cause this much pain.
Your tears fall like the rain.
Your eyes give off a sympathetic hue,
Never before did you think you'd feel so Blue.
