i am Alice
the same dream again
or is it?
following the white rabbit down his dark hole
entering the unknown
roots and sticks tear at my dress
floating downwards, upside down, and backwards
I am in Wonderland
lost .......
the word echos in my mind
The Chersher cat his sly grin
the rabbit his clock bouncing dismissively
the queen with her scepter of life
and death
all and more chasing
the colors aren't swirling
they are gaining on me
my breath grows short
the dream keeps me in its clutches
the bright light
slowly closing
the gap from one reality to the next
blood red eyes of my pursuers
looming at my neck
with cold realization pouring into my soul
i realize this is not a dream
But my life

this was a really cool piece of work i really liked it-with a great last line-the alice angle was very creative-and i think we are all alice sometimes..and wonderland sucks.i like your description of the characters-they seem sinister and cold, which gives the whole write a dark edge, and it could have come accross a lot less powerful, but you conjured up fear/confusion rather than familiarity.thanks for the comment on lately!
