those winter-summers

those winter-summers
sitting up in your attic
with you pretending that we were
all grown-up and married
we’d write little stories on rose petals
and throw them through the hole
in the roof
pretending like we were some kind of
messenger from god
but it was cold
I’d go to sleep angry
(never let the sun go down on your anger)
and shiver with fury under the blankets
and you’d hide under the bed
frozen by your frosty tears
those winter-summers
made my heart grow cold

Yes it is somewhat emo, but i don't think it's overblown You can change it if you want to but i really like it the way it is. I would tell your friends that it's an awesome line...but i don't know who he is...so can you tell him i say nice line?

My friend gave me that line ... I had just little stories and he told me to put 'rose petals' so tell HIM that you like it ... thanks for saying you liked the ending ... I didn't ... seems a little overblown and emo, don't you think? I'm considering changing it ... but whatever you tell me to do, I shall do!

"we’d write little stories on rose petals" I love that line. I also love the ending to the poem. So sad, so beautiful. keep it up!
