My name is Memory,
and, I, myself, am memory.
The oblivion is my enemy
and my shadows within.
As I cross mountains and valleys,
I can see my registers left,
marks reflected in the people’s eyes;
shirking the consuming shadows within.
But when I finally depart,
I can see it was only momentary.
I have now only myself to gaze upon,
and within, I can ever see a dark wheel coming…
And before I fade consumed by my shadows,
falling inside my own well of oblivion,
I will perform what is my task: remember;
remember all that will soon be lost with me.
