Mr. Robin

MR. ROBIN
(T. Beechey)

Mr. Robin, can you hear him sing his song?
Mr. Robin,he will sing it all day long
Cause he's happy --- not a worry,not a care
His wings go flappy, soon he's soaring through the air
Mr. Robin

Mr. Robin, you're feelin' like a dove
Heart's a-throbbin'...could it be that you're in love?
Where's your missus? Oh,here she's comin' now
With hugs and kisses and a feather-ruffled smile

Meet the Robins, sittin' in their nest
Heads a-bobbin',see each red and shiny breast
And she's scratchin' cause he got himself an itch
Soon eggs are hatchin',they'll be singin' in high pitch
Mr. Robin

Mr. Robin,gotta find some food
Don't want sobbin' from your very hungry brood
Worms are crawlin',kind of slow, not very fast
Don't be stallin'! Breakfast time will soon be past
Mr. Robin

Mr. Robin, how's it feel to be so free
Just hob-knobbin' with the earth and sky and sea
Your babes and missus, there is truly little doubt
You know that this is what life is all about

Meet the Robins, comin' to a tree near you
Just let the mob in with a hearty "How are you?"
Hear them singin' their mornin' song,oh yes indeed!
They'll be wingin' to wherever life may lead
Mr. Robin

This is full of such great imagery, I imagine it'll be very easy for Jacob to see all this in his head. Thank you for your entry and best of luck in my contest

    Nice one.

I had a pet robin once. That bird rode on my shoulder and would go where I went. He was a baby that I raised on crickets. He did fly away or maybe it was a she. I think the robin survived for a couple of years because a robin would sit on my car hood waitng for seed after that.
