Garden of Eden

On the television, two scantally covered women are
Using their breast for fifteen minutes of fame while their laughter
Become drowned two lovers lost in their own world. In
Between their kisses some might think erotic, Milton
Would think otherwise.
He would see a paradise full of lost images found neither by
The angels hidden in the gardens of reality, nor by the demons
Sent to destroy the reality the angels have created.
These two lovers gaze upon those women holding each other
As if death would follow their split. A union no one will
Know existed in this moment created by one seed.
Two worlds, separated
By wires, screens, and waves, brought together by man’s
Thirst for more. Four faces a crowd would pay no attention
To, but would beg to glimpse the gardens of heaven. Even if only found
Within those two.
Yet heaven might say, “Listen, just don’t hear these images whore
Themselves to millions of lust driven eyes. Listen to the
Voices watched by a committee of men and women believing
Their words weigh more than the God that created them.”
We give this false power to them for a moment of peace.
They call it programming, we call it escaping to a digital
World where meaning is lost. Where we can see
Man’s worst and replace them with the slightest touch.
It is like the two women in their moments together
Pondering how many fantasies have they fulfilled,
While the two lovers lay together wondering if they
Will ever fulfill theirs.
But tonight, their desires become greater than the desires
Of these false Gods creating their own garden to feed.
Their weakness becomes the forbidden fruit
Many have tasted before this night. Their moment of passion
Has been man’s weakness.
For it is written and so shall it be.
“The apple brought them knowledge, and with knowledge
Came death. And with death came this world.”

may I emphaze for a minute I like the way u used milton in your work a much respected author of mine such as paradise lost something that milton would not agree as you said as we all know how milton views life and God that even God would inspire ernest hyminway to write but i do not agree with your last stynza with the apple brought them knoweldge with knowedlegde came death and with death came this world eve was meant to bare the children of this world calling her eve the mother of life when eve ate from the apple her punishment was extended pain in childbirth not the pain of childbirth it's self cause she was meant to bare children only because of sin was her birthing pains increased.

      Thank You

I do respect your opinion but our understanding of the the causes from the bitten apple are different. To tell you where I am coming from, I understood the punishment for both adam and eve was that once they bit into the apple, they realized they were truely naked. Shame came upon them with that realization so they sought covering. They truely discovered deceit, lies, and other worldly sins. The knowledge i refer to is their sudden realization of going against God's word. The Death I refer to is the death of their innocence. This world is the child of that union, knowledge of their lives and death of their innocence. Let me emphaze the fact that I am not a religious nut and respect all other views on religion, that is why I say that our understanding is different. But again I thank you for your comment, I just wanted someone to read my work and tell me what they thought. Thank you again.

      Thank You

I really have never showed my work to anyone besides my wife. I thank you for your comments. It gives me more confidence to submit another. One question, is it really beneficial to join the site and pay the amount monthly.
