Die for what you believe
Can you change the minds of many
Into the mass destruction of a race
To create a world peace
Only through a super race
Take nations with the swift movements
Of a grand army that loves you
Could you turn to some one
Die in your eyes they will
Can you strike fear into the world
Into the minds of the non-followers
To make them think the end is here
Only to loose a long fought battle
Take you life for yourself
Of a personal pain that you cant fight
Doing something wrong
For what you thought was right
Only to find the world against you
Yet you would fight to the end
End of you life, it was time
Time to give to the world
Your life and destruction is physically gone
But in the minds that death, time, and terror remain
Author notes
Hitler was a great man for what he accomplished, but wrong for what he did. this is what i was told from a good friend. before you go all crazy, think of it this way. if you thought something needed to be done would you be able to bring a country to follow you, would you be able to accomplish what he had done. if you honestly think you could than go ahead and say what you want, but most likely you cant so think about what you say. i think what they did was wrong, but the fear and destruction nazis caused under the rule of hitler something extrodenary, the last reich. thnx.

Excellent Work
This is an excellent write, Justin, and you pose some thought-provoking questions. There is no doubt that Hitler was a genius, unfortunately a mad genius with a cruel streak spanning the globe. As long as we are on this old earth, there will be a constant battle between good and evil; for it is Satan's goal to not only continue to rule this planet but heaven as well. We know our God is stronger and Lucifer is dead already.

Wow lots of comments on this page lol. Well anyway this poem brought me to tears. I have no clue why but I'm really sensitive with the subject of hitler and the concentration camps and stuff like that. I'm not old either (only 14) If only hitler would have used his power for good instead of terrorizing people. And I think your exactly right. He did blame jews for christs death. At least I believe that.
I'm apart of the arrant faith group and just saw you on the page. Thank god I'm not the only youngin' in the group *phew*
Well anyway. This is really good..and true. Good work -
thnx for this comment, and im sorry it took me so long to right back ive been off for a while, i agree with every thing you say here but one thing, hitlers mind was twisted in a way because he killed jews because of there past he blaimed them for hanging jesus on the cross and killing him because he belived in god himself. but i dont think he relized that jesus had to die for a reson, like he was obssesed with getting rid of them for past murder of a very important person in history.thats all thnx again

yes .. okay I understand now. It is just you say that you admire him...which..in a way is a type of praise...admire is to look highly upon...and yes Hitler was willing to die for what he believed...but if what he believed was to murder a race just because he didn't like them...is that still considered something to be admired?....I am willing to die for freedom and I admire others who are willing to do the same...but dying for freedom and dying for the cause of eliminating an entire race are way different...do you get what I am saying?...this type of admiration is a tad off...believe it or not I have a certain admiration for Hitler as a young man before he entered the war....he was trying to be a succesful artist but a school turned him down...it leaves room to believe that he actually had a soul once...and maybe even compassion..maybe....lol...

i dont praise him, ive done my reaserch, 4 books based on him and nazi germany, two from german writers and two from american writers, when you compare them their not that much different from each other, rgardless of the murders he caused, he faught for what he thought was right, he was willing to die for it, i admire that in a leader not just hitler, but i dont praise him, i just try to understand both sides of the seeing eyes of both parties. i hope you understand now.

thnx for your comment, i like your thought on insanity and genius, howerver i think he was neither, i dont think people understand because what his "time" was like i dont know completly mtself what he was thinking, to peolpe who faught against him yeah they would say he was crazy, but if the world was completly like his time and germany at that time than what would his thoughts be. people only think of their thoughts most of the time on this topic, they dont look in a nazi or german point of view. thnx for your comment.

why?
I see where you are coming from and you have to be very open minded to come up with this point of view...however Hitler commited genocide against an entire race and or religious group....he saw that Germany was weak and that they wanted someone to follow so he literally pushed everyone out of the way until he got what he wanted....then when all eyes were on him....he told the state of Germany that all Jews were weak and that their blood was contaminated....so they needed to be wiped out...Germany needed someone...."anyone" to follow at this point and time in history so they followed...he was a man filled with hate...there is nothing to respect about that...if he had simply pulled Germany out of hard times then I would see why you would praise him.....but he murdered ,in the most aweful ways a human can be murdered,....millions of people.
I don't care if the guy had wings and flew around the world like a little birdie...lol.....he needed to be eliminated from the world for his evil deeds and it is a shame he wasn't taken out sooner than he was....you might want to research before you praise a murderer...

this piece has some spelling problems, but a quick check will fix that right up. Other than that it is a good piece. Now the topic is something else, was Hitler a great man or did he just have luck on his side, that his rhetoric reached people's minds when they were suffering and hungry, he promised them progress and prosperity. So his greatness fell only in the fact of timing. If you offer to feed people and keep them safe, offer to allow them to grow, the hungry and downtroddren will grasp at those straws, like a drowing man to a rope. Hitler was a small man who lived in large times, times of confusion and insecurity, he was propaganda and rhetoric, they say there is a fine line between genuis and insanity, I fear Hitler only lived on the insanity side of that line!
