Chester Bunny's Two Egg Hunts (9)

Missing image
Two Egg Hunts

It was once again Easter in the glen,
colored eggs lay hidden in the lea.
Chester Bunny heard a real strange sound,
he wondered what it could be.

Robin red breast was so excited,
her eggs had fallen from the high tree.
She saw two hundred eggs all around,
but her eggs numbered only three.

She had to find them before sunrise,
but there were so many painted blue.
Seeing Chester bunny standing there,
she said, what am I suppose to do.

They hid my eggs with all the others,
we must find them the hunt is today.
Please help me find my three blue eggs,
I will look here and you look that way.

They searched the meadow up and down,
but the blue eggs were no where around.
Robin red breast  was getting worried,
then Chester heard a soft chirping sound.

Mother hen had found the three blue eggs,
she knew they had fallen from the tree.
Moving them from harm and danger,
sitting upon them so carefully.

Chester Bunny enjoyed the egg hunt,
finding Robin's eggs was the first one.
Now ready for the Easter egg hunt,
for he knew where they were, everyone.

    Very Creative!

Awww! I am so happy that Mother Hen found the three blue eggs for Robin Red Breast. Robin Red Breast reminds me of a mother who has lost her children for a moment and seek help from others to find her missing children. This was a wonderful Easter poem and I will read more of your series. Thank you for entering my contest and best of luck. Avril

heh..... very cute. I am surprised that you did not include this in the category of childrens?
Everything constructed nicely and tells a lovely story. Struggled a little on flow in my head for verse 5, but did not detract from the piece.
Thank you for sharing it and passing a warm glow into my heart. Bless.
