I sit here and I wonder if God can talk and has talked to so many people why don't he talk to me? Why can't I here him? Why do I feel like he is ignoring me? Have I did something that bad? Why is it he wants us to talk to him but he can't do the same? Why do I feel all alone even when I'm sitting in the church surrounded by people? Why do I have thoughts that he's not real? Lately I'm not sure but if hes so real then why the hell won't he talk to me like he did all these people in the bible? Am I that unworthy? Am I not worth it? Am I the only one he freakon ignores? I just don't understand how he can leave me all alone! I don't understand how he can claim to care and how all these people can claim he cares but yet he doesn't even reply back when I talk to him. That's really caring right there let me tell you! Its like I'm not worth his time. I'm not virtuous enough, and if this is true why should I still believe? Why should I have trust in someone or something that doesn't even trust me enough to talk. I just don't understand and I'm really not sure I ever will. Not only that How do I know that all these people in the bible ain't made up or that maybe they are real but they just believe they heard something that they really didn't! How do I know. Its not like he talks to me.

This is how I feel lately and how also my boyfriend feels and he actually brought up the statement about if God talks to all them ppl in the bible then why don't he talk to me.... Im also looking for a title to this! = )

I greatly enjoyed this write. While reading I discovered that we have the same point of view on this subject. It's difficult to tell the difference between what is "Actual" and "Factual" What I mean by this is what actually exists and what is only believed to exist by the word of man. If you ask me... Man LIES. lol So what are we to believe? And Who can we trust to provide us with the truth that we are all so desperately seeking? I wonder if we'll ever know. Now as for the title for your piece... I did have a gouple ideas. I was thinking maybe " God, can you hear me?" and then maybe this one... "Heavenly Abandoned" Personally I like the second one best. I feel that those two words put together are truly powerful. It'll make you think. And Most definately catch the eye of readers. I wish you the best of luck in your writing. NEVER stop expressing who you are and the way you feel. Your writes are amazing because you do just that.

Well I really hope you find that God does talk through other people as Jes said. I found one tiny little mistake you said "Why can't I here him?" I think you mean hear. Anyway I think a good title would be "Questions" or "Trying to Find God" or something like that. God Bless and I pray you hear Him talk to you.

We must open our hearts, it always seems that God does not talk to us himself, but he talks to us through other people's words and actions.
God was with the firefighters and police on 9/11.
God is speaking to you through the pastor.
God is the person who shows up on your doorstep and asks if you would like to join their bible study group.
God is with everyone, and he uses us to talk to others.
These feeling you have are natural. Hell, I'm a hardcore Christian and I have lots of doubt, but God knows that if we open our hearts and just listen, we will overcome it.
Good luck with finding God, and I pray that you find out how God is speaking to you soon.

oh my dear lots of good comments on this one and yes you are asking alot of questions from what I read in this one is that he's sitting right next to you, You have said more then once you believe in God well that just lets you know he's right there beside you and he's answering your prayers. This a great write so glad to have came across it and God bless you and your family for today and always...as for a title maybe ("I'm just asking") came to mind...

Edna, As long as my belief in God or your belief in big Pink bunnies is not harming anyone, then leave me alone in my beliefs and I will leave you alone in yours. I didn't say you should belive it, only that you should respect that someone else does.
*One more thing about the pink bunny falling from the sky. One did yesterday. In Sweet Home Oregon the Boys and Girls club had their Easter Bunny parachute into the egg hunt. To me that is hilarious- given what you said.*
Maybe God IS trying to tell you something.
I see it this way. If you are right, I spend my life trying to live a loving and moral life, die and that's the end. You also just die.
But if I am right, I get to go to heaven and you get to go to hell.

You have many questions in this written work. They are questions that every human has asked themself at least once in their life.
What I have learned came with seeking answers with an open mind.
God is not human. He handles things differently.
Sometimes he shows us the way by actions.. and we call it fate.
Sometimes he does nothing and we say we were ignored, however, he said no.
Sometimes we have a voice inside our head that tells us what to do...We call that intuition.
Sometimes we get the feeling that we should or shouldn't do something....We call that our gut instinct.
Many answers were recorded in the bible....We think that it is a tough read so we don't look for the answers.
Why are certain people sent your way ?.... I believe that God sent them.
I would suggest you ponder why things happen, and perhaps you will have proof that he listens. An open mind will give you more answers to these questions. God bless and keep you.

i'll pray for you. i've had doubts sometimes too. but he's real. just keep listening. maybe you won't hear an audible voice, but you'll hear him speak to you.

I think something about waiting or expecting for a title. Sometimes the problem with wanting God to talk to you is how you expect it. For most people it is not an audible voice. It is an idea that you get suddenly and know it is not somthing you would think up (God told us to give our bikes to a homeless man). it could be a scripture that speaks to you, or truth spoken to you but another person. I can be something you read or see or hear, that strikes you differntly.
The voice that is talking to you, telling you there is NO God, is a voice too, but it is not from God.
When you pray, do you wait and just listen in the quiet, giving God time to speak to you, or do you do what most of us do, say Amen and go get busy with something else?
Even men who heard from God had periods when they didn't. Moses herded sheep for 40 years before the burning bush.

It's entirely logical when you think about it.
It's because there's no one out there.

Sweetie, these are some really great questions and some no one can answer.
But, as you know i am a believer myself. And I know maybe you dont want my advice on this because it seems you have made up your mind and i'm not against you at all. You believe what you want .. but here's my advice and maybe some answers?! (if you want to take them)
I know you kept asking, why doesn't god talk to me, like he does to others? Well, sometimes God gives you messages that aren't DIRECT. some things he is trying to tell you in mysterious ways because he cant come out and say "here i am" He's trying to get you to realize things. The stupidest things could happen because of God. like, lets say you are walking outside and you're going straight and you fall...ok you'll start to get mad but its because God is trying to show you something, and he's trying to talk to you. We just dont understand His ways of telling us things. Like, take this for instance, the other day **TRUE STORY I SWEAR** i was driving on the interstate ramp, and i looked behind me to make sure there were no cars coming, there werent, but i hit gravel and spun out on the interstate and went straight into the ditch. As scared as i was, i kept blaming God saying 'how could you do this' and things likethat, but when i got back onto the interstate i turned around and went onto what i call "the old road" which is slower, come to find out..there was a major accident involing 4 cars that killed almost everyone and others are in IC (intensive care) and I dont know if this is true or not, but i think that God made that happen to me because I would have been in that car accident.
baisically, what i'm trying to say is that God works in mysterious ways..and its hard for us to reach his signs, we dont understand them.
*i know you have your doubts about God sweetie. and thats up to you, no one can decide that for you...but He does work in odd ways. And maybe he isnt answering you directly and maybe you're not catching on to his signs...i know i never do. But take a minute and think...would i be THINKING that God isnt real if i believe in him? ~ maybe this is just my assumptions but, I think that you really do love and believe in God but you're trying to find ways not to. Trying to convince yourself he's not there...when you know he is. **and that may not be true**

But i know that when i let God into my life, things turned for the better. and its not like im all about God though. I dont go to church, and i do have some of the questions you do too sweetie, but i have to just take a minute and realize thigns sometimes. But anyways sweetie you've done a good job with this!
And maybe a title could be "can you hear?" or "why?" or..."can you hear me God?" i dont know something along those lines?? anyways great job sweetie. i love your style of writing. and i hope you don thtink of me differently because I tried to make you believe in God, im just trying to help you out a little.

I really like this.Sometimes the best questions about God are unanswered.I believe that God hears us he just doesn't talk back to us.No one knows why he just doesn't.Everyone goes through diffacult things in there life.I also believe that everything happens for a reason.As for a title how about"Why can't God talk to me"anyways I love this.

i can relate to this! Often i have felt betrayed by god and asked but why, but why?? why do people go through pain, why do good people die young etc. Why? But the thing is god is all about faith, we just gotta believe he exists. god doesnt look down on anyone, god forgives all. God loves everyone and maybe you cant hear him beacuse your so intent on proving that he doesnt exist taht you're not allowing yourself ot hear him. besides gods miracles show in other ways than a voice, a rainbow when your down, other little miracles taht we take for granted could very well be god showing us, maybe your just looking in the wrong places. hold strong and you will find faith.
