Little Child
Don't worry about what people think
Be a happy child
And hold that innocence
Don't let people make you feel like you are not worth it
You will grow up to be strong and wise
There is no need to hurry up your growth
Be a child for as long as you can
Hold that innocence

Absolutely Wonderful
I love the poem that is so well written, specially the theme that is so important and yet ignored. Working with troubled kids, shocks the witts out of me for they are being forced to grow up and adults are teh ones to blame to taint their innocence. Short and sweet, to the point with the depth of the seas. Your words have captured the essence of a childhood perfectly. Thanks for sharing...Take Care & God Bless... I love your name, very uplifting

deranged innocence -
Children certainly do grow up much faster now than they did two generations ago - with the stuff they see on tv and movies - they all want to reach that stage too quickly. Sentiments well expressed in these lines - easy to read and understand.
