Dusk has settled in around the desolate grounds,
and one is shrouded in the eternal darkness of
her own torment; cast out by eminent expectations
The belief of asinine existence devouring her life force
until the lilac petals shrivel up from venomous corruption
and slowly fall away from her frail form in the night
The lone iris who has been stripped of her resplendency
does not go unnoticed by the few who have also been haunted
by many of the same afflictions she now decays from
A lone stream of light ruptures the darkness
and glosses over this shriveled little flower
A lone, jaded vine reaches out to the cold rock
she sits upon, then another comes, slowly pulling
this little iris out of her cave, and into the moonlight
There, she is revealed to a loving rose in the night with
erubescent petals soft and silken; glossy from the light
Behind her, covered in the same jaded, thornless vines,
stands an ivory lighthouse; her light streaming down upon them
In the background, the thunderous waves of the sea
crashes against the jagged rocks, but neither of the two
fear such that is the nature of this heartless land
Their bond is far too strong to be broken by the waters of life,
and they offer this bond to the dying fragility before them,
hoping that the lighthouse's purifying light can revive her
as it had once done for the thornless rose on a similar night
And slowly but surely, as the beam upon the iris shone upon her,
her petals were reborn, and she was beautiful; the rose told her this
The carmine rose also told her lilac iris friend
that no matter what the cost, where she may be,
or whether the sea may take her, the rose's vines would
stretch to the ends of the world to find her, to hold her
If they decayed and broken, she would grow new ones,
just as she promised the once crumbling lighthouse
'As long as I have the will, love, loyalty and determination,
these vines will stretch throughout the entire world just to find you
if, for any moment that you may feel lonely, just to embrace you;
to remind you that you are loved, thought of, and cared for
every single day as long as we live. Don't ever doubt that.
Our precious lighthouse will guide your way home if you are ever lost.'

Thanks, bro. I'm glad to know somebody thinks that.

You continue to develop and impress everyone with your evolving work. It is like there is no end to the constant growth of your great poetry. There are people who would run dry of ideas and ways to express themselves, but through hundreds of pieces you manage to keep going without any noticeable flaws. I really think you'll make a great writer/author one day in the near future so keep doing what you've been doing as your fanbase will continue to grow.

I agree with you whole-heartedly sis.

Wonderful
Aww...Sis! This is priceless! I love it so very, very much!
States exactly what ought to be done. Let's drag Yunie out of her cave and tickle her until she cries for joy!
I can see that Yun's feeling a little better now, though!
Oh yes, and (as is usual) I love your work, Sis. -
Thank you for your kind words. You never know about friends in the future.

This is so sweet! I wish one of my friends could write something like this for me, but they lack the talent
Very eloquently written, beautiful words and imagery. I especially liked the lines
"There, she is revealed to a love rose in the night with
erubescent petals soft and silken; glossy from the light"
They are really well written. Keep writing, you are really talented

Ha ha! Maybe I should have lied and said I'm not smiling
Just kidding
-
You better be smiling through the tears, or I'll bring out the Belail whooping frown act on you.

This is such a beautiful poem Rose.
I feel so upset now. Happy upset, by the way.
I...don't really know what to say about it except that it practically made me cry.
Thanks so much for the poem
I'm...going to...go cry some more...
