Confused

Everything looks clearer on this stage -
With a bird's eye view
poised to stake claims to fame
In muddy minds unburdened,
it was
innocent
incest
integration:
That's
oxymoronicalliteration!
Quick, man every battle station!
But wait! Figures of speech are only
figures
so go ahead,
confuse these cliches:
That's the oldest trick in the pony!
What the...?
Just ignore her,
she's not feeling quite herself today...
But it's quarter to four
which leaves me with seventy-five cents
to spend on this disaster--
worth plastic wedding rings
around the rosey,
pocket full of
expletives on extractive
on steroids.
But...that's not enough!
So stick 'em up,
This is a robbery,
I want all your prose and poetry,
I want a life where you love me,
I want ten packs of gum and maybe
I want a bird's eye view...

    Fantabulous!!

Ha! This poem made me laugh. It was a joy to read. It speaks at the reader rather than to the reader. My favorite line was "Just ignore her." Good poem!

I adored this up until the lines of "I want..."... seemed random and crazed, yet held my attention, though the ending was a bit of a let down.

    Pretty good.
