Twas early spring and by the sea
The rainy windswept beach and me
And the breath of the ocean blew my hair
Over my face and everywhere
It was as though a voice spoke clear
Though neither far or even near
Through the grey and stormy day
Kissed by sand and ocean's spray
I did spy it upon the cockled sand
I picked this stone up in my hand
I heard the world around me talk
Speaking in this volcanic rock
It was not round or smooth at all
It was jagged and cubical
It was pure black and I could see
My reflection staring back at me
I wished a wish and held it near
And the sea around did disappear
And I was in a magical place
And touched the one true Godly face
For a moment there my spirit had flown
As I held in my hand the philosophers stone
A great wind pulled it from my hold
This stone had turned my soul to gold
I looked around and smiled at the shore
I'll remember that forevermore
I felt and saw nature as I'd never seen
And my soul felt purified and clean
Twas early spring and by the sea
The rainy windswept beach and me
For a moment there my spirit had flown
As I held in my hand the philosophers stone

what I know of Elagabalus is that he was a young emporer, transgenred, I believe, but took to wife a Vestal Virgin who he said would make sure he had god's for children. I do not knwo if this is what you refer to, but it fits with the magic of the stone...

You will have heard of Elagabalus then?

Oh, well done. This connects back to a time when all stones were known to be filled with spirit. We call volcanic stones "Grandfather Stones". We use the oval ones for some of our ceremonies.
