The Rain Dancer

I saw her dancing in the rain
And I came to love her and the movements she made
She carried me out of my pain
And I did the same for her

I followed the ripples of the pools she stepped in
Walking silently with the softness she's blessed with
We parted knowing that we would meet again
And so she left me to float away

I saw her walking in the street
Her life brushing with the passersby
I walked towards her and ever so slowly
Her life brushed with mine

Our lives gently began to connect
And I looked straight through her eyes
We parted with no more than a kiss
But I was no longer blind

I watched her dancing in the rain
Her movements smooth like the water that came
From the sky that shone in her eyes
And I started dancing too
