It's something that we all have inside,
That's nowhere near a simple flame,
Glowing brighter than the sun itself,
The love light within us shines above all.
When that light shines at its brightest glow,
There's a sense of peace unlike no other,
The feeling of warmth and comfort that has no words,
Letting love's glow light up your heart.
For these people the light of love is always on,
Being open to love in all forms it brings,
Cautious that it doesn't end up hurting,
Causing that light of love to dim and die.
When that light is dull and sometimes goes out,
There's a sense of emptiness that has no words,
Not receptive of the warmth that love brings us all,
Letting the darkness win out in heart and soul.
For these people the light is always dim or extinguished,
Constantly searching for that sense of loving,
Searching for a way to eliminate the darkness within,
So that the light of love can shine once again.
This is a light that we all have inside,
With us internally for lifetimes and beyond,
Whether that light is bright or dim into darkness,
The love light is there always and forever.

Yes, God has put His Light in us and it burns brightest when we are fully surrendered to Him and to His love and His will.We can never be happy- really happy, unless we allow His to burn bright within us and love Him and live for Him!

I like this, its such an honesy write. i enjoyed reading it. everyone is scared of getting hurt but some people take it worse than others.

I love this poem, especially these two lines. They are so true. A lot of people yearn to be in love, but they're too cautious when they get the chance to be loved. They're afraid to open up their hearts because they are scared of getting hurt. Great write!!! I love it.
