for the one i love

I walked through a field of roses,
and each one i pick,
i pick for you.

This poem expresses my love for you,
and i look back and pray for us two,
that our love will forever grow,
like that rose field where we used to go.

Many years have passed,
but the memories are here to last,
Since we last visited that enchanted place,
where i first saw your face.

Now that place is no more,
replaced by a super-store.
But were still together,
now until forever.

Author notes

well i'm not in love but my mate asked me to write it for him so he could read it to his wife-to-be..
