Deterioration

Erubescent orbs stare feverishly
up at the ivory ceiling;
those vermilion optics that I adore
They once gazed up into
my own jaded eyes, filled with love

Now, they are blind
Even though I can see my reflection
within those glassy spheres,
they are blank and void of what was once
your vibrant life force

Your pallid flesh is natural for your kind,
but the gleam of perspiration is not
The frigid steam rising from your frail form
was something I denied for days,
until all I had left of you was ripped from me

I can still feel your evanescent presence
within the silken sheets in which we once laid
The images are eternally engraved in my mind
from the moment I began to witness your fragile
existence slowly slip through my fingers

I clutched desperately to the fine sands,
but the grains of your soul were far too petite
With you, the final grains of my own soul
slipped through this decayed shell;
that of which you had revived so long ago

And I'm so sorry, Meribel,
that I cursed your fate
It killed me a little more each day
to watch you deteriorate
Now, without your touch and your love,
I'm just as dead as you are

Author notes

Inspired by a dream Yunie-Chan told me about that she had. It was of Ai dying from a disease and Belail never being the same...I wanted to write something about it.

    Yeeeah...Ai was Belail's last try at love. Don't worry though, we'll fix it.

    Awww! I'm going to cry even more! I just want to hug Belail! Damn! That's so horrible. Poot Belail. I can't believe he was that bad...they've DEFINITELY got to find a way to revive Ai now. She'd be immune to the disease because she can't have it more than once...seeing as no one's ever survived the disease, heh.

    Your ideas are really good sometimes...but don't shove that disease in MM. If you want, we could make an rp about it sometime.

    And you know when Belail refused to accept that Ai had died in the poem? Well...Killian actually had to take Ai's corpse away from him, he was THAT bad... ._.

    Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! This is so beautifull written but so so so so so so so sad! Noooooooo! It sucks to hell when seeing his feelings written down. *cries again* Well, maybe if that DID happen, there would be a chance to have her revived...somehow. Yeah, I know, I'm not willing to let Ai die, dammit! Not forever. Nope. Elvina would make sure Ai was revived. Yep. She would. *nods* ALL the kids would. Yeah!


    Cor. Now I want Ai to have the disease in SI...maybe a day after she and Belail actually get together and it could scare the HELL out of them all! But then Ai's the only survivor of the disease and that just proves she can cheat death. yep. I....realy am going to cry now. Seriously....
