A river of life flowing from above

my sister actually quit writing because a high school teacher who told her that it was too good to be hers. he was my teacher also and said two writers like this could not come from the sam family. go figure. i think i wish i could write like she does. this was a rough draft. completely unedited. don't i wish.

Beautiful eulogy to the memory of a friendshi
Poetry is a truly remarkeable thing..it is a means of revealing what is in your heart...of sharing with others things you cannot express in the spoken word...it is thoughts and dreams transferred into a written form that gives them solidity and substance...like flesh on the bones!...this poem you have written tells us of your feelings for someone now departed from this world!...Once you write it down it becomes immortal...it will never perish...it is created from purity of thought and the finest of feelings...it is eternal!...it is also a thing of beauty...When you have the ability to use words as you so obviously do...then it would be a terrible waste of that ability to avoid writing because you think you are not good enough...all of us thought this...most of us still do!...yet still we write...and it gives others pleasure through reading what we write...we cannot please everyone...there are so many different forms and styles...you need to find your own and make it yours!...I think you already have judging from the most touching and heartwarming poem you have written...Viyanna...tell your sister she must write when the muse takes her...if not it would be a tragedy!...my regards...Dan xx -

this is a beautiful poem the rhyming sequence is excellent it flows very well - any doubt you may have of your ability can be put out i think this a wonderful piece and so i will send these commetns along with my applause

you can tell your sister she is an amazing writer!! i absolutly loved her poetry it was incredibly moving. bravo to her!! and i m sorry for her loss. i can only imagine the pain. but poetry has an amazing healing power so tell her to keep writing!

Oh my god, this is very beautiful. The writing is exquisite and the word choice is wonderful. I'm adding it to my favorite poem file. (it will appear on my page as soon as the gremlins leave my machine). I do not just hand out praise for anything, except when I mean it. Tell your sis she HAS talent and to quit doubting herself.
