In the darkness she lies
waiting for a sweet caress
that never came.
Is it the bosom, or is it the soul
that you want touched, I asked
and as she lay motionless,
I turned away.
On the bend that blinded my thoughts
and vision from her sensuous frame
in the darkness,
I planted a sweet soft kiss in the air,
that I knew would never reach her.

"I planted a sweet soft kiss in the air,

interesting lines, that made me read the poem over again, I like when poems do that, make me wanna feel more of them! This is really good, and oh so sad. I can feel it!
