Psalm 86
Dear Lord please hear what I say,
for I am so poor and needy too.
Preserve my soul for I am holy,
save me Lord for I trust in you.
Be merciful dear Lord every day,
my heart cries out to feel new.
Rejoice my soul for me Lord,
my soul I lift completely to you.
You are good and ready to forgive,
with so much mercy you show me.
Please listen to my prayer oh Lord,
listen to my pleas mercifully.
You answer in times of trouble,
I look to you God, the one I adore.
There is no other God like you,
no other words compare to yours.
Lord you are great so teach me,
let my heart fear your name too.
I shall always praise thee Lord,
and I will forever glorify you.
You delivered me from my hell,
the proud rose up against me.
Violent men seek my very soul,
show your grace, have mercy.
Save the son of thine handmaid,
give me strength, give me mercy.
Let those who hate me be ashamed,
see your good that comforts me.

Outstanding Writing
Didn't know you were in this when I entered mine. Well, that's okay, cause we both mean well and certainly are only writing for His glory, not ours

Beautiful
This Psalm is so beautifully rendered, Sandy; just one of Christ's prayers recited throughout the book of Psalm: a wondrous book of prophecy, guidance and hope as well as reassurance as we walk among the dead.

In stanza two, line four there is a word missing. <3
Nonetheless, you've done a lovely job here displaying the love and acceptance we find with God. This poem actually reminds me a lot of Hebrews 4:16
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
Wonderfully done, thank you so much for sharing it with us. And for entering this contest to assist in the encouragement of Nena's investigations of faith.
