The Tomb of Death

With my eyes I look through the hole
I see a misty room
That can not be identified
That was once someone’s tomb

The door was locked
The windows, covered and barred
Not a person or building in sight for miles
And something inside had been charred

Beyond the point of identification
The smell was horrible, unbearable
Its old, mold was growing on the door
The creature inside was not repairable

The feeling around was cold and silent
The way a graveyard would feel at midnight
The feeling you get when you think your not alone
The color of this door, was once cheerful and bright

After the creature was tortured and murdered
The brightness from the building faded away
No one dares to enter the forbidden tomb
If done, its believed that life will become gray

They would die from torture
From the haunting of the wild creature
What they did to him, he would do to them
Leaving nothing, not even a human feature

The tomb of death stands before me
The feeling in my body goes numb
When I turn to walk away, I heard a noise
And a deep voice that said, “come”

I try to run, but its to late
The creature found me, and took me in
He dragged me up some stairs
That’s were I was forced to burn off my own skin

    excellent

this is a very creative and personal piece. I love the way that you use the metaphor of a decrepid room for your tortured mind. If this was indeed what the poem was about. Anyway in my oppinion this is yet another masterpiece from the world of Squiem.
