\Laboratory Log 46, Doctor Sharen Kilburn

Another failure. I don’t believe that it was a malfunction in their programming this time. I believe that Doctor Wyrie shut off the electricity supply to their brains prematurely. No one will say it, but we all know that it’s true. He was always saying that abducting the subjects from their homes and forcing the testing on them was wrong, he was always speaking of how the animal DNA we were injecting them with would not be compatible with their bloodstream, but we all knew that he was wrong.
We weren’t abducting them though; we were simply borrowing them and prayed that we would be able to return them to their homes without any memory of what we had done to them. We’d hoped for the chance to return them to their original state of mind and damnit we tried! There was nothing that any of us could have done! After group 5.2, we had no choice but to keep the subjects here after their testing. If we were to turn them loose, anarchy could run rampant amongst them. There were no other possibilities. We had to keep them prisoner here…
I remember the group so well-they were so young. Our original thoughts were the younger the better. We believed that our failed attempts on previous tests subjects was because we performed our tests on people no younger than twenty-five and no older than thirty, we were starting too old. They could only have to be sixteen to eighteen, with subjects so young, their minds would have been much more pliable than with older, able adults.
Now, looking back on it, I don’t know what I was thinking. Six years has taught me so much. Six years and so many innocent people. We’ve had to exterminate most of them. What else could we do? They were all scientific failures. Those who were successful were kept locked away in their quarters for further testing. They all died eventually. What were we doing wrong? We must have been missing something. But what? \
--------
In the year 2001, five experiments escaped one of the government’s best-hidden labs. How they accomplished passing security or even breaking out of their cages is a mystery to everyone. In all honesty, it was quite ironic and summed up to the abilities that they had been given. But the fact of the matter was that they had. But they were smart. So smart in fact, they had rejected the initial brainwashing. Most people knew of them and what they were being used for, they knew to keep their distance and they knew the potential danger that could be caused if they didn’t. The group did not share their information of them; they weren’t ready to exploit them just yet. The timing was wrong. But despite all of that, they were known.

I believe I have perfected it this time. We had to have. The programming, the appearance, their intellect. Everything about them is perfect for this testing. I believe our flaws laid in the former. We can’t seem to get the functions right, but this time; I believe we may be able to make a successful transfusion. Before, their minds kept breaking free from the holds we attempted to try on them…but this time, with willing contestants, maybe we can find the correct remedy.

This is so damn good Kami!! I love the profiles. Looks like you've been studying animal behavior. I'm glad your trying something new. I didn't think I'd be able to grasp this, because as much as I love sci-fi I don't read it. There are so many big words and long explanations, and yada yada-I get so bored. But this kept me interested. Plus it reminded me of a story I wrote three years ago with the same title but different numbers. I saw some things idennitcal to my plot-but yours is much better. ANYWAY............!!!!! I've rambled on enough. It's awesome girly. I'll be reading the next parts later on. good job love!!!!

Kami this is awesome! I never thought this would be good cause sci-fi isn't really me but I like it actually! Are you gonna write more? jw. well keep it up girl.

Lol this was a really cool story. I asume you are going to post more, since the word prologue is in the title. IM me when you post more parts so I can read them. This story, to me anyways, had a ring of sounding kinda like Resident Evil, not the movies, but the first few games! Keep up the good work!
