I am a sticky note
Stick me on your computer screen
so you can remember all your to-do's
Stick me on the fridge,
to remember your groceries.
Stick me to the door,
to tell someone where you hid the key.
And when all is done
pull me off and throw me away
Stick me on your computer screen
so you can remember all your to-do's
Stick me on the fridge,
to remember your groceries.
Stick me to the door,
to tell someone where you hid the key.
And when all is done
pull me off and throw me away

Your poem is so sweet and warm … it made me all fuzzy inside, it’s simply the most cutest thing I’ve read in a very long time … you’re very original and your poem has certainly lighted up my day (well it’s night right now, but you got the point )…
Keep on writing poems just as cute as this one …
Oh my gosh, if I say cute another time I think I’ll get diabetes … ups! Silly me, I just did … LOL …

very interesting, its different and has a sort of air to it. short, sweet, yet when you think of it in a way it seems kind of sad. very snazzy i must say good job. especially love the last line.

Hi. Haven't talked to you in monthsss. I like this one. It seems like a cutesy poem, but can have some deep meaning in it-if you choose totake it that way.

Very original. Never would've thought of writing a poem about a sticky note
Makes me sorta feel bad about all those sticky notes I've thrown away in the past - they've done so much for me.
-
This has to be the cutest poem about nothing that I have had the pleasure of reading.

Lol. I had a good laugh at this one. I love sticky notes, post its, whatever you want to call them. Tehy're cool, and I love the little colored ones. Someone commented that this could be interpreted as a poem about our throwaway culture, and I agree with that. Even if thats not as you intended it, it struck me as a satirical poem about America. Thinking too hard? Lol. Go sticky notes!

a metaphor of a poem certainly, but although you are trying to relate a deeper meaning than that of only a sticky-note, the inference is not as direct. Maybe to indulge as to the particular sticky-note reminders, such as "Make birthday dinner reservations for BLAH-BLAH," or "Pick up BLAH-BLAH'S shirts from the cleaners" or something to that effect can a direction correlation of the importance of the sticky-note reminder and the person of "importance" so easily cast aside in this poem be inferred.
Of course, this suggestion is only made by my interpretation of the poem. If you merely intended it as a sticky-note themed poem, fine...but I can see it developed as a whole lot more.

LOL i love sicky-notes... they are great! i use them to study, to remember stuff and to write things on them when i'm lonely.... ok maybe not all of those things but some lol .... good poem, and funny topic! Can't wait to see more of your poems! -
It's cute but also a little sad. The idea of having no purpose but to be of service to others. But I think I'm thinking to hard, lol.
It's cute. Say hello to your mom for me.

Well luckily I don't have job, so I can still invent something and say it is mine....Thanks for the comment, it is cool to know a bit more about sticky notes....

If I was to llok at this a a post modern critic I may wax lyrical about how this is a bitter diatride against a throw away culture. I'm not so I'll just say something along the lines of 'awesome' and provide some historical background to the humble sticky note.
I don't know what you do for a living but if you work for a big national or international company you may have seen something in your contract along the lines of any invention of yours becomes the intellectual property of the company you work for. This basically means that if you invent something revolutionary your company can make as much as possible off it and only have to pay you your standard salary. This happened to sticky note man. He came up with the idea to use in his office at work. The company he worked for saw how useful it was and patented the design as Post-it, made millions and kept the inventor in his normal job. Kind of sad really.
