In the dark i wait for you,
laying by myself, all alone,
the night surrounds me,
enveloping me in the dark,the cold.

Every minute passes so slowly,
Time increases the pain,
I watch from the outside in,
Loving someone else, who doesn't feel the same.

It's more than i can take,
I need you to hold me close, whispering sweet nothings in my ear,
but no, as the stars drop from the sky,
you left me lying there, all alone.

    This was definately written from the heart...we can alllll relate to this. The tears I have cried for such a man as that! But alas, usually it is for the best.
    I am so amazed at your style...congratulations on your advancement! You have really grown up a lot...which is great, but as is the case, there are two sides...the bad one being emotions such as the ones portrayed here.
    Lovely write...hopefully only the best poetry and quick recovery will result from this situation.

    this is so sad I can relate to it though, especially this part;

    I know what its like to love someone who doesn't feel the same way, and i know i should just get over it and move on, but its hard and i cant. so i know where you are coming from. excellent job
