I'd like to take this moment to
Pause and inhale in deep
For pain pours through my barren soul
As my heart truly weeps
I see your words that care for me
But I'm unable to
Sometimes laugh and smile brightly
For I'm beyond just blue

Though when I get a glimpse of hope
I gaze through foggy haze
Then I untie life's grisly rope
To live a few more days
All we are is dust in the wind
This fact you can relate
But when others spew with venom
I retaliate

So I create this shield for me
Protecting my soft shell
That I may live respectfully
In loneliness I dwell
Though this is why, when others call
I become deaf and blind
Their desire for me to fall
Is of an evil kind

There's really not much else to say
But to thank those who love
Like the fun filled yesterdays
Today I'm dreaming of
I live by one word at a time
For my soul to express
This message in my vivid rhyme
Still seeps of loneliness

timothy oh dear brother timothy--

i so wish i could pick that poor little guy up, look him straight in the eyes and tell him just how loved and appreciated he is. that his little shell, though necessary for a time and with good reason, is not a permanent home to hide within. then, i would give him a big hug and a most awesome ear scratch so he could maybe smile. even if for but a moment.

My Beautiful Friend lost for words to comfort you again,
Ditto “Wandika” aka Jim. Every line he stated to you is true. For many years, my mother has said to me “ only time brings healing”. We can draw curtains but we never forget. There are many ways to feel connected again jump into life. Things change and we feel strange. But choirs of angels are singing you don’t have to be lonely.
On a musical note, I close my eyes and I could feel the melody of the song “ Dust In The Wind”. Holy Guacamole

I really loved this read weaver!!! It really spoke to me, if you know what I mean... I am sorry about your pain, and if there's anything I can do, just tell me... I really liked the language in this poem... You have friends on this website, and I'm sure you have a thousand others at home!!! so keep writing!!! so that I can keep reading!!! lol...

You never get over a loss but with time you do get better Timothy. A song writter friend of mine lost her love and suffered a long time. She finally wrote a song "Some things you just don't get over." Right after she wrote this she got over her loss. Please know, as I do now, time really does heal and that it is not just a cliche.

I weep because you weep, I am filled with sorrow because you are filled with sorrow, but, I am also filled with love and I give this to you piece by piece until your heart is filled with as much love as I have. Oh Timothy,
This was sad, but yet on this day my heart is weeping, and this really made me get a better grip on what todays events have brought me. I really did enjoy this read.

This was so sad. I loved the message in this poem. So sorry about your pain. I think there is a typo in the first line. Should 'too' be 'to'? Well done. I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

In the beginning, the end of the first line, the "too" needs to be a "to". Otherwise . . . i'm a big fan of your pieces . . . you are truly . . . the poetic weaver. Keep penning . . . keep sharing . . . and much luck to you in this contest!

You know what, there's so much things that go on from day to day, I lose track on what is going on myself half the time, though I feel the pain within me so deep, I begin to weep for many reasons, and sometimes it's hard to find the will to carry on. But then souls like you come along, and give me just that push in the right direction, and lots of much needed love, and I'm back on my feet again. Thanks for loving me, love you too sweet soul!
