girl throws
corsage in the lake
and watches
petals
being consumed by the uterus
of life.
water
supernatural and powerful
sees the remorse...
sees the torment...
of youthful love.
all it can do is
gaze back;
winking the moon.
lace
and pearls
are but an illusion...
and
gentlemen
doubly so.
Author notes
for those who may be stuck as to how the title connects with the poem,
I mean it as "gentle" and "Men" being contradictory...
I understand that it is only very slightly relevant... but I thought it sounded good at the time.
