trip

                    okra flowers in the cup
                    love fills our mailbox
                    unchecked

                    imaginary symphonies waft
                    from beneath our house
                    while tongues find mouths

                    home for the holidays
                    cold fearing monkeys
                    drinking their blankets

                    in morning wine
                    old grass floats
                    past coffee leaves

                    and dreams of sun morning
                    freeze in two
                    minds promising home bound adventure

Another sweet write, this one breathes. Delicate and never for a moment shallow. Wonderful.
