These sorrowful eyes have seen everything,
The pain, The lies, The hurt,
They've stayed up all night when you were gone,
And have cried all day when you home,
They've took all your crap,
Please give them a break,
They have closed on command when they thought they would get a surprise but were jerked open with a painful punch,
They have hid in a small dark corner,
They've been in pieces too many times before,
They've been left hungary and homeless,
They've seen all there is to see except the most important thing,
They've never seen love,
They long for a glipse of compasion,
A little blink of the eye,
A little slap on the back,
Even just a little emotion,
From the one that has brought them into this world.
