I WIll Rise Once More

Photobucket

Your lips have spoken
So softly to my heart
Shielding the flames that
Try to consume it's beating
You lap at the wounds
Of the once turbulent storm
Healing them with your might
Erasing the scars of past

The hole that lies within me
Can only be filled by you
Snuff the flames that bind me
Set me free from the pain
Shed the talons his power
Held over my lost soul

And like the phoenix,
With your love...
I will rise once more

    A Rising Phoenix!

    Dear StormGoddess,
A wonderful poem filled with a warmth that raises the reader with you on your journey! With all the trials we go through - it would be nice to know we could all rise again. Or find the one who would reach down and help!
    Beautifully written.

    Outstanding

Very good work here Autumn, I really feel this is among your best. This has a brilliant flow, and the kind of imagery I like; original and intelligent but meaningful. I dont have to get out the erector set of excuses to make it mean something. A sweet, clear, and enjoyable read. Excellent poetry.

Great job, man! I looked at the picture you drew and I think I can see where you got some of that from. Just vague ideas, though. Amazing. I really like the idea behind it, as well.

    Keep writin', bro.
