~~A Kiss Of Spring~~

Missing image
The soft kiss of spring
Is making my heart do leaps
Awake from the frozen earth barren
Hope is never ending
As tiny green buds unfolds
An enchanting birds song
Sunrays of gold
Tulips nodding
Hillsides aglow
Deyfing Old Man Winter
And perhaps the last snow
Sweet smiles of anticipaton
Stirs secretly in our hearts
Seems like every morning
New beautiful things impart
A springtime's refreshing shower
A colorful rainbow in the sky
Cares and woes are now forgotten
As our joy and spirits soar high
Oh Springtime!
Season of promise
Fulfills us with perfect delight
Shake loose, unlock these shackles
From this cold winter's night~

Oh, so sweet and light...just like spring. Might want to change "unfolds" to "unfold" for the sake of grammar. But wow, so much imagery, so many senses! So much to take in! Heady and sensual. Beautiful write.

*thumbs up* Spring is such a wonderful time of the year. All of the new flowers and buds on the trees... Makes me glad to be alive. (Plus I'm a Spring-born kid ^_^) Back to the poem.. The imagery was very good as I'm sure it always is with your poetry. ^_^ Take care and keep writing, Muse of the Seasons.

really nice piece here susan, very nice imagery, and really awesome all around, something I love too, i love the spring, especially after the cold winter, and since it's a lot more likely that the guy i like will be walking every day now that it's spring, so that's good too i love the feeling of spring, it's just so amazing, well expressed here

for when the snow has melted the showers of a new begining will come, and refresh the old, and bring in the new...the babies of nature will be born, the buds will bloom, and the flowers will brighten our lives, the sun will get warmer...and you expressed this wonderfully...you have chosen to write about my favorite season...simply beautiful susan, once again ~~Jenn

What a wonderful picture of rebirth ... Your words are such hopeful wisps of Nature. Please do not be discouraged by your illness, Loved one. And please remember: I am a bit busy nowadays, but always think of you.

    Hugs, Myra

Is that picture a Kinkade? It's beautiful, so is the poem. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I like hearty flower like that. I have over a hundred planted but the bunny's get most of them. Spring is a wonderful time of new life, I wish it lasted longer than it does. Positive inspiring write my friend.

Ahhhh... the picture fits this piece so well. And your expression for the love of spring sends the words racing through the mind. I love the Spring (and fall)... unfortunately here in MO, it's nowhere NEAR Spring weather... we're even supposed to get some mroe snow tonight *sigh*
A very loverly poem you've got here hun

I love Spring myself. It is a time for rebirth and beauty. I honestly didn't like the rhymes at the end, and I noticed a few typos.

Third line, you have 'eath' - where 'earth' is needed...Also the line 'Is making my heart do a leap,' I think would sound better if you said your heart leaped rather than 'do a leap.' 'Hope never is ending,' I am not sure if you meant to put 'hope is never ending,' but to me that line didn't flow well. I had to stop and read a few times. You have two 'd's 'Tulips noddding ,' and in that fourth to last line you have 'seaon,'

I hope you don't mind the critical advice, I definately want to know when anyone ever finds a typo or mispelled word in my poems!

thanks for sharing this lovely image you have created.
