Did you ever wonder
Why tears taste like the ocean?
Is it simply a coincidence,
Salt mixing with water
That streams down our faces?
Or is it God's way of telling us
That everybody cries
And our tears mix
To create something beautiful?
Maybe he wanted us to know
That we are all here together
And our pain is interconnected
I cry for you
And you cry for me,
And together we fill the ocean.
Maybe our science
And our search for answers
Has blinded us to the truth,
So tonight I'll shed a tear for you.
