What is this feeling?

I feel all light inside

My heart is pounding

You look right into my eyes

I get lost in those blue wonders

My knees are getting weak

I feel like I’m being lifted off my feet

I feel vulnerable

My hands are shaking

And I’m caught in a trance

You move closer to me

Body to body

You embrace me

Holding me close

Making me happy

My arms wrapped around your neck

As we stand there

I close my eyes

I stay close

Never wanting to leave

That’s the one place

I’d always want to be

Knowing I’m being held

And protected from the world

Having someone to care for me

With a purpose of having something to be

I open my eyes

As we part our separate way

I sigh, smiling to myself

Always looking forward to a hug everyday
