As I walk along this lonely street
Looking out for love
Out of the blue you appear
An angel sent from above
I am standing but not breathing
I cannot believe my eyes
An angel sent from Heaven
Has descended from the sky
With her long blonde hair and deep blue eyes
She looks deep into my soul
Removing every sin and doubt
That keeps me from being whole
I see the madness and the sins
That I have committed in my life
She swallows them and kisses me
Giving me a new life
I wonder what she’s thinking of
And if she is disappointed
Then she tells me that I have been forgiven
My heart has been anointed
I feel so lucky to be here
But, I know that I must be careful of what I think
For every thought and emotion
Is known to her instincts
My God you are so beautiful
Unlike anything I have ever seen
With you I feel so safe here
My mind and heart are so very clean
I thank you for all of the love you give
And for everything that you have done
From now until the end of time
You will be the one
You are my knight in shining armor
My true savior when I fall
I know that I can trust in you
To be there for me when I call
Then I feel a breath of air
All around me in the night
I realize that I am in her arms
And the angel has taken flight
She asks me if I feel okay
And I tell her that I do
I’d give anything to stay here
And live the rest of my life through
I see the planets as they rotate
And everything that goes on
I feel overjoyed and excited
That my life will continue to go on
God has chosen me to live and reign
Forever by his side
For his angels have touched my heart
And stripped me of all of my pride
I smell a scent so beautiful
From the angel in my arms
I know that here I will never be afraid
Of anger, hurt, or harm
She whispers softly in my ear
“Awake my darling, for we are near
In the arms of God is where you will be soon
Where your heart will beat to a different tune”
So I open my eyes and see it near
The Gates of Heaven are finally here
In the front of the Gate are
Millions of angels awaiting my arrival
Congratulating and applauding me
For my earthly survival
They wait for me with open arms
And they ask me how I feel
I tell them that I am proud to be
A part of something so real
I see so many faces
Of people that I have never known
All anxious and happy
That I have finally reached my home
The place where I will always belong
In a family so sweet
Where nothing else could ever be
As wonderful to me
I thank you Lord for everything
And for giving me a place in your heart
Where I will be for eternity
Where my endless love will start
