When through Lent (when so much is forbidden)
A good part of the course we have ridden,
And St Patrick's Day comes,
We may cosset our "tums"
Without feeling the least conscience-chidden!
For St Patrick, he was a great preacher,
Of theme trinitarian the teacher...
So to honour his day,
There is no better way,
Than three glasses apiece of the "creature"!

Thank you for your message.
I do not see the point of putting - I suppose one would call them "passwords" in author's notes... But if you want it, you can have it.

Witty and clever pair of linked limericks--I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

Saints Andrew and Pat (save ye, Ma'am)
Would be hung for a sheep as a lamb.
So let's raise to them each a
Wee glass of the creature,
Or as we Jocks and Jeannies say, "dram".

Great poem, I like the rhyming.

Very interesting!!!!!
I was a little bewildered here. As Richard stated, really interesting rhymes. I will have to look some things up as there is no explanation in the author box to help a reader who is not as worldly as yourself. Best wishes for you not only in the contest, in life also. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
