Two Pieces

If you read these, please read Author's Note.

TO SEE THE FUTURE

Be, here, now and
Know, there, then to
Remember tomorrow.

WARNING THE SELF-SATISFIED

You may
Be here now
But remember
There and then
Or know no
Tomorrow

Author notes

This is an example of a constant problem for me.  Certain ideas have so much content that they readily keep springing forth in new guises.  Some of the poems in this collection have ten or twenty version, some different ways of wording the same thoughts, some saying different things with the same words.  The above is a good example of the latter, the same basic words yielding two different meanings.  Having studied concious thought for many years, sometimes glimpses of the future come to me.  The first poem iterates that experience.  I have met many people in the "New Age" movement who think themselves superior to the mainstream.  I want to shake them by their self-righteous stiff necks.  Thinking outside the mainstream box does not make you correct or those thinking inside the box incorrect.  The second poem iterates this.
