It hurts to walk on eggshells
Trying to stay silent
As they crunch under your bleeding heels
But you keep treading
Walking on the white coals
That burn your toes
And you're trying not to burn
And you're trying not to bleed
But your blackened bleeding feet
Cry out for you to stop
But if you stop
Treading on eggshells
You'll never be able to begin again
So you keep walking
You keep burning
You keep bleeding
And hope that your feet will heal.
Author notes
I did a bad thing.
And I can't stop watching my every move so I won't do something bad again.
