Waiting for Yesterday

Never have I wanted more
To curl up into a ball
And wait for yesterday
Sleeping so I cannot feel
And waiting for the clock
to turn its hands
In the way it never does
Bad deeds make the world keep turning
And I'm lying here
waiting for it to stop
Bad is never good
And therefore I must be bad
Because I hurt a friend
When she needed me most
Black and white visions rule the world
When I long for shades of grey
How can I apologize
When I can't change the black to white?
So I lie here
Waiting for the clock to change
And crying myself to sleep.
