What are the differences between
a feather and a rose ?
One is born form the dirty soil,
into a red bud grows and then;
sharp thorns it shows…
her petals she opens and then;
her essence hovers lightly,
heavenly everlasting.
The other is born mature,
flying in paradise’s sky,
lightly and almighty,
with glorious pride!
From eternity it falls,
heavy and black to burning dust.
Many flowers are a garland;
Many feathers may be a wing.

This poem makes a contrast between a feather and a rose and I feel that it measures them equal in weight but perhaps not opposites. You have made me think about the use of contrast and the visual quality of tone in a poem. Thank you for entering

Nicely Written...
Dear Joao Camilo:The "Feather"floats like a butterfly.The "Rose"
reaches toward the sky...Yet they have nothing in common.The
two are so sentimental delicate and very beautiful.Keep up the
great work.K.R.E...
