Author notes
This picture was designed completely by me using Photoshop 7 and Bryce 5.
*Bryce 5 Render time*: 13 Hours
*Photoshop Work time*: 3 Hours
I designed the original abstract layer in Bryce 5 and then did fix-ups and changes on it in Photoshop. I don't feel as though the picture is finished, but I can't seem to figure out what else it needs. If you have any suggestions at all, please let me know. Also, if you are interested in using this for your computer's desktop picture, let me know and I'll send the full size picture to you.

thanks for the links, Sharcu...and YES it's here now and more amazing than I had expected too! I'll definitely see if I can work something from this image and its very title for your contest...
I don't know that much about art to give you any sort of real feedback on this image only to say it evokes interpretation which I hope to relate in a poem for your contest. I do love the contrasts and spins of light. It really is beautiful and amazing!

Jo, thank you for your interest in my contest and for your comment on my picture. This picture works fine for me. Could it possibly be your computer? Here's the link to the picture on the site: img.allpoetry.com/images//custom/Sharcu/abstract6d.jpg
If this doesn't work for you, I also have the wallpaper version of the picture posted on my deviantart account. The only changes is on the version on this site I put my name and a border. That is it. Here's the link if you can't get it to work viewing the picture on here: www.deviantart.com/deviation/30746581/
Thanks again

Hi Sharcu...I came to your contest and have been trying to open this image tonight since the very title intrigued me and has me somewhat inspired to write a poem with this title, possibly utilizing this image. Could it be there's an overload to your images and pages tonight you think?
In any event, I'd love to see the image and even leave you comment to it if I can...and possibly work a poem off this very image for your contest. I've tried about 10 times already, but it's just a black box with a little "x" in a smaller box standstill for me here. If you can, can you send me a link to it once the glitch or whatever's going on is over so I can take a peek? I'm more curious now than ever!!!

*refaints* (if I could talk while I was fainted, I would tell you that this was so amazing to look at, reminded me of our brains.. complicated, but bright at the same time, hard to figure out, but at the same time, so simple in its complexity.. also, you still have some of those little dots, you sneaky!

Hey tim this is an awesome picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It reminds me a little about oooohhhhhhhh well.......... I don't know I can't really describe it. The picture is awesome though!!!!!!!!!

Whoa Tim... You've outdone yourself this time.. Congrats on a great render lol.. I mean.. WOW...Seriously
-
I agree with Kirbyman, this is very unique and you are very talented, I know from your other works. I love art. This one is great. Shancy.

I like it a lot. I agree with some of the others that if you would be able to see more of the stars in the background it would help. In contrast however, if you put a contrasting streak of colour along the right side, green or yellow, that is thicker, that may look cool...just a thought, since the whole thing gives off the ecesne of space, it would look like a comet's tail...just a thought. How do you get the program to make this stuff? *~*

LOVE IT!!!!

Very Cool!
OMG!! This is AWESOME. I love it! I love the colors you used, I favor blue. This is truly a beautiful work of art here, I cannot begin to come up with the words.....I just love this. I like how it looks like stars in the very back, this whole thing is just TOTALLY WICKED!!
Awesome, awesome job here.

Breathtaking
the first thing I said when I saw this picture is "OH MY GOSH". This is beautiful...the colors are just ...ahh I love the colors, they are my favorite colors all wrapped into one great abstractive photo.
...I can't really say anything, but ...wow this is amazing. It's like the stars, but with better coloring....a sunrise, but with more blue...an ocean, but with more purple.
This..wow I am infactuated with this photo .it's AMAZING TIM!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
..There isn't reallly anything you can do...the only thing you can do is allow me to print out your pictures and keep it in a "Tim" book. Ahhh...amazing. Amazzinnng.. -
hrm....I feel like I'm spinning *twirling around*
really Tim, this is awesome! I love it. The colors are wonderful and the lighting is surperb! I would LOVE to have it as a desktop. You really spent a lot of time and effort on this one, and it clearly shows. Great job!

Absolutely "spectacular"
Wow, Tim; this is portrays an impression of Spirit’s excellence, a sort of Rainbow swirling in pastel blue shades of splendour. Absolutely "spectacular."

i could stare at this one for a long time and just get lost.. to me that makes a great picture-love the colour theme- I'm new to the group by the way, my name is Looi (handshake)

My friend, you've done just excellent work. The time spent not only shows but has proven worthy. The color and lighting are just great. Something tells me you would love fractal. I have Adobe Photoshop 5le and it doesn't let me upgrade soooo.. I dont have half the ablities you do but I myself am learning. The more I see Bryce the more I'm liking it. Just great!

Being a retired engineer, I'm not a very abstract guy, but this is pretty impressive since I have been fooling with photoshop for the last few months. Great job, Tim - very unique. A few of the effects I sort of recognize but would have to check my books to be sure.

When I first rendered the picture, I didn't even realize it had the stars in the background until after it had gone the 13 hour render time. So I just decided to leave it as it was. I guess it does add more depth and levels to the picture rather than just the abstract.
Thanks for your comment and suggestion.

I like it, it makes me think of the future, like spaceships and beams. It'd be cool if you could see more of the space in the background.
