useless inventions with usless intentions

A screen door on a submarine,
Useful like gleeful joy
Only when it comes flooding in;
The drowning of a toy.

Emphasize with black highlighter;
Useful as fevered hate:
The sly darkness seeming to crowd
As a slithering snake.

Puncture an inflated dartboard
Used like heated passion.
Inflated with only warmth;
Bursting, without ration.

Life is a big chocolate teapot
Used to complain about,
But when nothing on the inside,
It never melts to spout.

    This was interesting in a weird sort of way. Black highlighters...I wish I had one of those. I would highlight everything with it. Who cares if I can't see what's underneath? I don't need to. Ok...never mind. Anyway...yeah. What sort of meter were you trying to use here anyway? This was weird...
