Fading away

Ghastly like ghosts I disappeared.
A gentle gliding out,
Like a calf that just now got seared
As I am standing on this mount.

Bored and bewildered at this sight
I move along quickly;
Forgetting about lovely nights,
But this leaves me thickly.

    Ok...wow. Nice thoughts, but I think they didn't translate well into words. Like a calf that just now got seared? As interesting as that sounds, it didn't come out so well in my mind when I was reading it. I think it might be good if you stuck with free verse.
