first i would like to say thanks for letting me do this, you have the pleasure of being my first interview..
1. As a writer do any authors or poets inspire you?
Not really, I like writing in general, and I don't read a lot of authors out there, I just read what comes to my hands. I just like books. Nothing really inspires me other than life really.
2. In your band TENEbRAE, I understand that you write the music and the lyrics, how does it feel to have your writings put to music and to have the fans respond to your writings?
It is a nice feeling when people understand what it is that I am trying to portray. I write stories in songs with characters and I hope to have every album that TENEbRAE does to be a concept album and nothing less. I think it is great when people can feel the story being told.
3. Is all of your writings fantasy based?
I would like to think none of it is… lol, but a large majority of it is fantasy based. Off of stories from a land I created many moons ago. In whole my poetry is just about emotion and about thoughts I had throughout the day, my novels are all character driven and I really enjoy getting into the understanding of a character, but I am also not afraid to kill a main character off within the first few chapters. It is not the character that makes the story but the beauty of the story.
4. In your fantasy based poems, is there a meaning to them you are trying to get out?
Well since my poems are not fantast based I guess no I don't have a meaning, but with the poetry that I do write, there are always things to find in them, and I hope people see only what they want to see. I don't write poems for other people to understand. In the end, when they do read them, I hope they find something there for themselves.
5. Any plans on writing a book or any thing published?
I have a few books in the works for my novels, but as for my poetry, I am done with one full book filled with fifty-one poems that will be printed in the next month or so… Hopefully, if everything works out, so that is one on the way. That book is titled "She" and is filled with many ideas of love and the life therein.
6. I understand you are into the fantasy world, do you role-play D&D and if so what is your favorite race and class?
I do play D&D whenever I get a chance. Even at my age I like to act and express my self how ever I can and role-playing is a great way to do so. It helps one build on their imagination and the ability to think deeper into things. And for my race and class while playing, I like the Irda race and I enjoy playing mages a lot.
7. When did you start writing?
About ten years ago or so, I was bored one day and I gave up drawing for music and I still needed an outlet, so the pen was still a welcomed tool for me. Just now I draw with words not images.
8. And last what was your favorite show and what bands played with you?
I am going to have to say every show and all the bands I have ever played with. I say that not to make it easy on me, but to explain it I mean that I love every moment of the music world. Learning even with the good and the bad and by doing so I never take what I am given for granted. The stage is my life and life is my stage, until again… By the blood of the rose
