When Chivalry Dies

I'm running everywhere now
Always in a hurry
in a rush to an appointment
Oh I'm losing time

I'm so in control now
I never lose my keys
Even when I'm late
I never make a fuss

I always keep a quick pace
when I walk by myself
at night
looking quickly behind me

On a crowded bus
squeezed between four gentleman
in an uncomfortable position
I make sure their bodies
don't touch mine
maneuvering myself
I don't make a fuss.

I let them off the bus first

This connects with an idea I mentioned to someone earlier. That people have lost their sense of humanity. We are no longer as close together as we once were. People are standoffish and cold.

Our world is run by emotionless corporations and companies that don't allow themselves an emotional expression besides greed.

It's all rather depressing, how sad and bleak the world has become.

An apple without seeds. A peach without a core. A man without a heart.

Technology is partly to blame, but so is our constant fear of touch.

We are so disconnected, but history has shown this was an inevitable change.

    much love,
    James

I like this, but I feel like it's just cut off at the end. I don't know, it feels too sudden and jagged. But otherwise, I like the tone very much.
