When It's Over

Life on earth is sadly best
when it’s over
when the finish is the sum of things tried
for Nirvanian sleep in the angel’s cradle

When the sun that floods the wall
is the wakeful eye of the Lord;
wet iris with sleepless blink
his laughter in rain
snow on the rose.

it's relief for the warping bones
the creaking gangly look of old
is no longer like that of the spider
spinning its seemingly hopeless web
where winds bulge an art of plot
to begging hunger,
emptied for only the snake’s eye.

It’s best when it’s over,
over and done
when nothing anticipated is more than
its costly plight, a bonfire of vanities;
when tears are spray mists of ocean
and not man’s unceasing blood of grief
save for those drops of pearls
swine will never know.

    Cookiezeal this is wonderful. The part I like best is "for Nirvanian sleep is the angel's cradle. Very vivid and honest of how life can be.

    I enjoyed this so much and see that your friends have already spoken. Having lost 12 dear ones within a span of 24 months sometime ago, I can still feel the comfort in knowing the peace that most of them had as they departed. RC

    Divine work

    My beloved friend --

    I lost the father of our children last week, but I also found him in death, a divine promise made by God: death has no sting. I am the Bread of Life. I am the Holy Offer on your behalf, on a Silver platter my Love gilded by sorrow.

    There are strings of Love keeping us in Eternal Life; rays of Light lit to show us the Path. Death is not dark. Death is the doorway to our Eternal Freedom.

    She understands the tears. So does God. If Satan can use this to destroy me, he would. But my life is not mine, it's God's. Still, I sometimes want to end it all. But I won't. God has a planned, dark, mysterious, beautiful.
