Pixie Land

Missing image
Pixie Land

In the forest of Pixie Land
is where I romp and play

Laughing and giggling
at the silliest of things

I sometimes sit and sing songs
and read poetry that stir ones heart

The true beauty of what I say
is a true reflection of you whom I see

But what is this?
A noise I hear off in the distance

I stop and look
my heart starts to pound with such force

My mind plays tricks on me
but what could it be

Then I see you
by the stream

You picked a single flower
and listen to water rushing by you

You slowly raised your veil
and look at me

My heart stops once again
as I look into your eyes

You raise your finger to your lips
shhhhhhhhhh come here you whisper

I can only follow your
every wish

you ask me to sit
and I do right next to you

We sit for hours
without saying a word

You slowly put your wing around me
keeping me safe

The beauty of Pixie Land flows within my heart
I whisper it in a poem

You smile in your special way
and your eyes sparkle

but before we realize anything
lions, tigers, and so many other creatures

are sitting all around us
enjoying such beauty

A delightful write of serenity and nature.I especially liked the sitting together in contentment without a word needing to be said.I wonder if the plural of stir had been considered by Sonja and yourself as in "stirs ones heart?"Lovely imagery and the naturalness of the animals appearing imbued this poem with a sense of being in a magical garden of eden, well done to you both, love and light,Yvette
