Angel, angel,
Shining bright,
Flying through the sky tonight.
Angel, angel,
Shine so bright,
Make your song set stars alight.
Drifting through the night so vast,
I wonder where the dice are cast,
For this angel gone astray,
Flying towards the earth today.
Why does angel come this way?
Who has led dear angel astray?
From angel's gently beating wings,
Drifts down angel dust upon all things.
All things touched by heavenly sand,
Grow anew and flourish grand,
But angel's light is slowly dimming,
And angel's feathers are slowly thinning.
All enraptured angel sings,
Not noticing any of these things.
And just slightly angel begins to fall,
Towards the earth to join us all.
Angel notices it cannot fly,
And quietly angel begins to cry.
Angel looks upon the earth,
And sees what angel dust has been worth.
The earth renewed, but for how long?
Only as long as there is angel's song.
Strongly and bravely angel sings,
Angel's voice rides on heavenly wings.
But slowly angel's voice is dying away,
As angel's body begins to fray.
The light dies away from angel's face,
A final cry echoes as angel leaves this place.
Not in heaven nor earth can angel live,
Though angel's song did us life give,
Angel's flight had gone astray;
And now our angel has gone away.
Angel, angel,
Shining bright,
Flying through the sky tonight.
Angel, angel,
Shine so bright,
Make your song set stars alight.
